What you can expect, and what you cannot

A research tool, not advice
CultureVeda gathers public evidence about how a company works and compares it to what you said you value. It does not tell you whether to take a job, leave one, or trust anybody. It is not legal advice, financial advice, career advice, or a background check.
Every claim in a report carries the source it came from and the date it was published. When a report is worth reading, it is because those sources are worth reading. Follow them.
Evidence is a snapshot, and companies change
A report describes what was publicly visible on the day it ran. A company that had three rounds of layoffs last year may have settled down. One that read well in January may have been acquired in June. Age is weighed heavily in the scoring for exactly this reason, and it still cannot see the future.
The evidence is also incomplete by construction. It covers what people wrote down in public. Most of what a job is actually like never gets written down anywhere, and no amount of research reaches it.
Signals about fit, never verdicts about companies
There is no company rating anywhere in this product, and there is nowhere in the data model to put one. A score belongs to a pairing of one person and one company. The same company can be a good fit for you and a bad one for the person sitting next to you, and that is not a flaw in the measurement.
Nothing here says a company is good or bad. If a report reads that way to you, that is a bug and we would like to hear about it.
When it refuses to answer
Below a certain amount of evidence, a report gives no number at all. This is the intended behaviour, not a failure, and it happens most often with smaller and more private employers. What you get instead is what was found, and an explicit list of what was looked for and not found.
Your account
Free, one report a month, and no card is ever asked for. The limit exists because research costs real money and this is funded by one person, not because a larger allowance is being held behind a paywall. There is no paid tier to upgrade to.
You can delete everything at any time, immediately and permanently. We may close an account that is used to automate requests at scale, since the research budget is shared.
No employer relationship
No employer pays for this, sponsors it, previews reports, or can request changes to one. There is no mechanism for a company to be featured, excluded, or corrected other than by the public record changing. If that ever stops being true, this page will say so before it happens.
Liability
This is provided as it is, with no warranty. Decisions about your career are yours, and the consequences of them are too. Nothing here creates an obligation on us for a decision you make after reading a report.
